The KINGSTON Fig. 250 series, l/4" control valves are designed for liquid, compressed air or gas applications. The valve body is cast brass with a brass stem and stainless steel spring. Seals available in Buna-N, Ethylene Propylene, Viton and Teflon. Maximum working pressure 150 PSIG. Caution: The valves herein described are not intended to be used as "air blow" or "cleaning guns". Such use is restricted by federal regu-lation (OSHA), and some state or local ordinances. End use of KINGSTON products is the sole responsibility of the user. Valve maintenance is important, especially when the valves are being used with solvents or detergents. Periodic lubrication of the stem will result in longer valve life. Fig. 253, with its 3" brass lever, with mounting stud and nut, was developed for use in car wash systems and other operations requiring a fixed position control valve, using mechanical contact to operate the valve. The valve stem is electroless nickel plated for long wear in harsh solutions. Buna-N disc and O-Ring provide a positive seal. Fig. 254 has been designed for hand held application of liquids and for air control. Female pipe threads permit the use of various nozzle or wand attachments. Buna-N disc and O-Ring seal. Fig. 254AE is used widely in the carpet cleaning industry for flow control of the cleaning solution. The seals are of Ethylene Propylene. Fig. 2543W is designed with a special stem for exhausting down stream pressure when the valve is closed. Most often used for operating small, single acting, spring-loaded air cylinders. Mounting stud and nut are available for stationary mounting. Fig. 255 is identical to the Fig. 254 with the added feature of a 3" brass lever with a locking latch which holds the valve open without maintaining pressure on the lever. The valve is self-closing when the latch is released. Fig. 257, with mounting stud and nut, is designed for fixed installation using mechanical cam action to open the valve. The free turning steel roller on the lever minimizes cam friction. Fig. 258 is constructed with a packing gland, Teflon stem packing, Ethylene Propylene disc with the cap, body and stem electroless nickel plated for added resistance to many types of caustic agents. Often used for wheel or tire cleaning solutions in car wash systems. Note: Most levers, stems, seals, springs and caps are interchangeable. Valves can be supplied with various levers, stems, seals, springs and caps. |
