Figure 305A is a normally closed, quick opening valve, often referred to as a "Whistle Valve". This valve has been in service for many years on agricultural and industrial applications, for both compressed air and liquid. The valve body is heavy cast brass with internal components of machined brass. The standard valve disc and O-ring are Buna-N. Teflon and Viton seals are available on most sizes. Springs are stainless steel. Maximum working pressure, 400 PSIG, @ 60°F. Maximum working temperature, 200°F. Not recommended for steam service.

Valves are supplied with a "Squeeze Lever", "Pull Lever", or less the lever, bracket & pin.

Air powered actuators are available.

Applications requiring manual operation at pressures above 150 PSIG, our Figure 3058, balanced valves are recommended for ease of operation.
